Three: International calls on PAYG are 97% cheaper than on Pay Monthly, why?
Can anyone please explain why international calls on Three are way cheaper on PAYG plans than they are on Pay Monthly.
Have a look here: [link removed by forum]
For example, calling Spain:
On PAYG: £0.03 per minute
On Pay Monthly: £1.25 per minute
That is a reduction of 97.6% on PAYG versus the cost on Pay Monthly.
This seems crazy? How can I access those prices without the hassle of switching to PAYG and having to top up?

Three will have the answer .
Two different products they are entitled to have different charges .0 -
I'm on Three and have just installed the Ringo app. Currently it's free to call Spanish landlines and many places are a fraction of a penny per minute.
The cheapest calls (and least likely to drop out) are via the app and its "Call out" which auto dials via an 0330 number, which is free if you have lots of free mins on a contract SIM0 -

It's the same with most providers, non-inclusive and non-standard calls and texts are priced much higher for pay monthly customers than for pay-as-you-go customers.
The oft-repeated line that "contracts are cheaper then pay-as-you-go" is being exploited. The true answer is, "it depends".0 -
