New front door advice

Hiya!
We're looking for a new front door and have a few questions on my mind.
Do you get a lot better quality with a composite over a uPVC?
Is December a good time to buy one, or do door places usually have good January offers?
When choosing a colour, should the frame of the door match the windows or the door itself?

We bought a new composite front door 4 years ago, its a DoorStop branded one, and we paid £800 fitted. (we actually had front and back door done together for £1600). Very impressed with it, had a more secure lock fitted to it, thumbscrew inside and low level letterbox so no one can reach in and open it. It feels solid, very solid, and yet not heavy at all. We feel safe with it there. highly recommend one.
We went for a white frame as it matches our uPVC windows, but the choice is obviously yours, depending on your house type. Ours is a 1930's brick and pebbledash semi so we had to choose carefully as the house from the outside, isnt overly attractive.0 -

Thanks for your reply! We've decided to go for composite too now.
The decision now is style/colour. The windows are rosewood but i want the door to be a colour. Then we need to decide if the door frame matches the door or the windows! :think:0
