    Looking for holiday advice please.

Complete Vegas novices, never been, not a gambler, but like the idea of a base in order to visit Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc, time round the pool, looking to possibly go in June.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you haven't done so already, read Page 1 of this thread which should have all the info you need. Then if you have specific questions after that, fire away.

All I would say is if you are thinking of going this June, I wouldn't hang about as prices will start to rise the nearer you get to departure.

I might have noticed it if I'd been at home and not here with limited access to the internet. I was chuffed that I'd spotted the Mob Museum appear for the first time just before we left as I was struggling to find any discounts for that.

Just a heads up for anyone considering the Neon Museum. You can get a Neon / Mob Museum combo ticket on the Neon Museum website, but it is right at the bottom of the options and not available with the Neon / Brilliant! show combo.

Aye hopefully they dont go belly-up, given Im going in September from Manchester with them. Just looked how much an alternate flight would cost on the same dates from the same airport with Virgin Atlantic and it would cost me about 85% more, and thats in economy (booked PE with TC).

Get that travel insurance (with airline failure!) sorted pronto if you think they'll go under.

I doubt they will go under to be honest. Worst comes to worse, they'll be bought out as they have a decent amount of long-haul slots coveted by other airlines!

Getting the money back is fair enough, its having to book an alternative flight in an inferior seat at double the cost, no doubt more when the demand goes up. Hopefully doesnt come to that.

Quite a good deal on MGM properties at the moment.
$75- $50 per night room credit on most resorts.
Booked 3 night stay at The Park MGM as a “fall back” if I don’t get anymore comped rooms offered.

    https://www.vegas-hotels-online.com

Credit can be used at over 300 food and drinks places throughout MGM properties.

    Have a good one Stuie!

We fly a week on Saturday, but I feel like death at the moment as we just got home from Rhodes at 03.30 this morning. Will just have recovered from a 2 hour time difference (which usually doesn't bother me) just in time for an 8 hour time difference in the opposite direction.

oooooooooo, I can post on here again. Been blocked from posting on here for a few days - although I could post comments everywhere else.

Enjoy your trips everybody who is going in the next week or so.

I've been looking for October. Got a slightly limited budget this time, so no Venetian this time, unfortunately. But, was having a look at SLS and it seems ok.
The rip off resort fee is a bit high, but no car park fees which balances it out I suppose. (Does anybody have an up to date list of those that don't charge for parking? I keep getting different results when searching)
It hadn't been open long when we when to LV in 2016, and we had a potter round. Looks nice, and we stayed up there when it was the Sahara site on our first visit in 2001, so we know the area a little bit.
Just wondered if anybody has actually stayed there?
    Thanks.

    hi
dontone had the same issues in regard not being able to post on this thread !
have you got an Mlife account by any chance? I had a look at mine earlier this month and was amazed i was able to book 4 night comp nights at the mgm, though it seems i had a choice of most of the mgm properties( i checked ny ny and mgm park) I have not been to vegas since 2016 so i have not spent money there since.
hope this may be of some help
Good luck finding a good deal though!

I play that, but I don't think I have a Mlife account. I only have something like 200k points so I don't know if I'll have enough for comped rooms. Tbh, I'm not sure how to use it, but I'll have a look anyway. Thanks.
Expedia had SLS at 1050 each for two weeks, but it's that s*dding resort fee that is a bit off putting. But, It's about 2k cheaper than some of the other deals. And no car par fees either.
I wish they would do away with those. It's far too greedy.

We are staying in October, a mix of comped and paid for.
Just did a weeks stay at Park MGM for a week in October and the total price is $954, that includes taxes and resort fees...About 752 for a week total...plus you get $350 to spend in any MGM hotel on food and drink.
Personally I would book a week in 2 different MGM properties and have $700 in free food and drink.
