and for anybody who can't get to a Tesco they are selling 4 large figs for 75p in Sainsburys0

Good offer but I have personally never really got on with fresh figs. Also, they don't stay fresh for long.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

What do figs taste like? I always look at them but have never tried one, the fresh ones, not dried as they look like cat's bums0

Wasps, apparently!
I think they taste a bit like sultanas but with a fresh green leaf aroma. Very grainy texture.0 -

I don't blame you - I'm still traumatised by the dead wasp thing. It's like something Heston Blumenthal would have conjured up. Never mind his Christmas pudding with hidden orange, try fig with hidden wasp...!0
