Managed AF yesterday after a bit of an alcohol fuelled weekend. Just finding life stressful at the moment and not enjoying work. Only up to 8/15 for August and my target is looking like a long way away at the moment, especially with the bank holiday loomingWhat goes around comes around.....I hope!0

Another empathiser here HB. That's the glory of having found the stop button now. Previously I'd have another (which often meant opening another bottle) although I knew I'd had enough. Sadly the same lack of control went with the crisps and cheese and....:(
12 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -
That story is familiar here too Honeybear. in fact I would almost say it's like a rollercoaster and once you've started you are kind of telling yourself you are committed now. I also remember occasionally being able to tell myself, no you've had enough and switch to water or stagger home. If only I could reliably do that two drinks earlier!
I was AF last Wed/Thu and again yesterday so that's 10/18 for me to date.
I am aiming for another one tonight. I am likely to be two under target this month. I still want 150 over the year so I'm trying to talk myself out of my s*d it mood tonight.0 -
Me too Honeybear, usually when uncorking another bottle knowing that actually I have already had enough.
Managed another AFD So 12/15 please but having to work quite hard at talking to myself about how many AFDs I wanted to achieve and also why buying a bottle of wine would not mean only drinking half! But I was tempted and came back to see someone sitting outside with glass of wine! However I want to do this - drinking nearly every night cannot be healthy.0 -
Seems like august is the month of struggle for some of us. Me included. I've had a sod it moment this eve. But not alone for a change.Live for the moment and plan for the future0
