I purchased some bleach from my dentist approximately 3 years ago and have decided that I need to buy some more. I knew I'd kept the old box, bleaching trays etc together and in the box was one full tube which I'd obviously forgotten about! The expiry date is 18 months ago, just wondering whether it's still safe to use or shall I put it straight in the bin?

Bin it. Will have degraded by now.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • You should not use it more than 2 years. This is because after 24 months, the active ingredients will not be as effective and the results will not be prominent.

Also teeth whitening gels need to be kept refridgerated otherwise they degrade.
