What is the apprenticeship levy?

Hi

I attend a course that is eligible for the apprenticeship levy.

How can I take advantage of it and how does it work?

Thanks

Google on 'apprenticeship levy' and you'll see why you can't.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    I don't see why I can't.

From what I understood, some companies pay towards a pot of cash and then they can offer 18k for employee's tuition fees. Why I cannot use it?

    Need more information to advise:

    What's the course?
How big is your employer? >£3m payroll or less?
    Have you started the course?
What prior qualifications do you have?

The course is a masters that is confirmed to be eligible for the levy.
Employer has definitely more than 3m payroll.
    I have started.
    Bachelors.
    Thanks

If you’ve started the programme already I don’t think you’re going to get anywhere.

To access the levy, your employer needs to work with an apprenticeship provider and you will need to prove eligibility for funding. Your employer will be paying levy into a pot but whether they will be able to use it to fund your training is down to the training provider and ESFA to determine.

As Marcon has twice pointed out, you can't access the cash - it has to be your employer. From what you've said, you're too late anyway as the course has already begun.

Why can you not do your own googling to find out more?
