Delivery charges

I just bought a dining room table. When i went to pay, the company told me it was a £60 delivery charge. I replied that i would pick it up myself, they responded by saying that was not an option and it had to be delivered. They dont ship from the store. This seems unfair, as i did not get a choice. I have to pay the delivery if i want a product from their store. Is this legal or just plain highway robbery.

The store is only for show, the goods are delivered from the distribution warehouse. It is legal, they simply can't store hundreds of huge items in store so need a warehouse to keep the stock. You know the full cost including delivery, it's your choice whether you want it now or not.
