Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 2 Oct: This weekend – Sat 6 Oct and Sun 7 Oct – Lidl is offering up to 50% off selected items, which vary by region. It includes Scottish porridge oats 1kg for 49p (was 89p) in Scotland, Snaktastic six-bag multipack crisps for 39p (was 79p) in Ireland stores, and Columbian Fairtrade instant coffee for 99p (was £1.79) in England and Wales.

    Biscuts are good value but far too addictive (esp when Bake Off is on TV). I've been meaning to try the coffee out as my DE habit is getting far too expensive, so now might be the time.

    Wish the frankfurters were on up here at 80% pork, they are really good

    The Sondey cookies are very nice.

    Rationing required but still a nice treat when they come up on offer every couple of months. :)

    I don't rate the 'black-eye' lorne, I don't think it is worth the extra money, even the steak version but I would be happy to trade some for the Frankfurters ;)

    I'm beginning to wonder if Lidl is basing these deals on what stock they have over stocked in thier warehouses.

    They get more of a weirder mix by the week.

    I'd be sceptical about this... were it not for the fact that my local Lidl had a huge display of Meringue Nests this weekend, which will be on offer in Scotland next weekend, but we are about as far from Scotland as you can get. :eek:

    I shall still enjoy my Coffee, Frankfurters and Cookies, though - just not necessarily together.
