  • Thank you all and welcome cat :D that's a lovely thing to say.

I have found like many others that a diary keeps you focused, with the bonus of everyone else's diaries help to keep motivation up and helpful ideas :)

last couple of annual leave days... All is good Brizzle,

TBH i'll be glad to get back to work as I'm spending too much.. OH has been off this week, so we keep finding things to spend on... (food and drink :( ) gym each day to counteract the excesses!

Had a lovely blueberry, mint and lime beer yesterday , really refreshing :D Then had some homemade red wine... it needed more depth so I threw in a few frozen raspberries... quite nice.

Not pay day until Tuesday... DD2 is ok today... has been fluctuating in mood about uni, hopefully turned a corner. One of her friends is moving to Holland, so I think she realises a 4 hour drive isn't so bad :D

Will probably need to do a couple of extra shifts in September. We have our holiday and a couple of days booked (airbnb) when taking DD2 to the south.

I'm looking forward to October for it all the spending to be over and done with :o, not looking forward to the empty nest :(

Sold an item on ebay £3.50 up. We've moved all of our boxed stuff for a car boot (that I haven't done) into our bedroom.... this now looks like a jumble sale, however plenty of things to try for ebay :D

I am writing this down because if I complain about something, then I usually end up with egg on my face...
So last night got a request for airbnb for 9 weeks of 5 days a week :T:T:T... now it means it would cover our holiday time, but DD1 staying, plus usual lodger, so not a vacant house... their work is planned for a 45 min drive away, I said this may be a deal breaker.... and we had had many messages in the conversation.... they asked for the room to be booked for 9 weeks and said let then know how to pay....
and I have.. even given a good reduction... but no further news....mmmmmm so now I'm puddled. this guest may or may not arrive on monday. I have asked for an update either way but no response as yet... airbnb give 24 hours for request to be acted on. that's 23:00 tonight. I've said I'll wait until morning... it would be amazing if it happened :o

Plus OH has work to do monday, he would have to leave early to make beds and what have you.. so changes plans substantially.. (I'm back to work Monday 14 hrs.. but only 3 day week :D)

  • Well we are going to watch the band in the local. it's not often we get a Saturday night together ( 2 in 8 days ;) ) guests look after themselves, DD2 may join us as she has released herself from her own shackles... and I am wearing a new to me top.. FAB... loving the feeling of strength and empowerment regular exercise gives you.....could do with the physical results :D

  • After a lovely night Saturday, Sunday was quite... erm spoiled... a touch of the gin flu..... So back to being healthy... I really really would like to get off 7lbs in the next 3 weeks... can be done.. with will power.. yeah right.. still trying to find that. (it won't be with my husband ;) )

In work today and became all emotional whilst reviewing a young student who is off to London to uni soon .. her mum and I looked and said "don't " and we both blubbed a smidge... didn't know where it came from!! crikey..

Anyhow... payday tomorrow Well in about 3 hours :D looking at online payslip although a healthy month it's not as good as some, and next month and the following won't be great due to lack of weekends and OT... but I'm probably just gong to ride it out for now.. I think I'd rather go to the gym than work :D

We will have a big spend month again due to DD2's uni and birthday the same weekend, we will take her down on the Friday and return on the Sunday... then we have a week in Lanzarote (hence 3 weeks to lose 7lb)

I was given a voucher last week in lid1 by a lady at the till... £5 off £30.... so even though I didn't need food I went to spend it .... £27 to add to the £102 for the month £129... still have cupboards and freezers full....

    lodgers rent at the W/e OP'd :D

Well done to DD2, and her feelings are totally natural, I wanted to move home for the first few weeks but lived with friends from school so made it a little easier, two of them went home every weekend, the other friend (who I am now married too...) and I worked so didn't go home very often, I really enjoyed the freedom it gave me and felt like a pseudo adult! She sounds like she could be prime minister if she puts her mind to it!

Sorry that the large booking didn't happen, but glad you have a few more bookings!

Also well done on the gym, very impressive!
