Well done on the 4 days bet free... Glad you fought the initial urge to chase the loses. It is a shame you lost the £50 but at least you did not get roped back in.

I have managed to do over 4 weeks with no bets, thanks to internet block. I have actualy got money in my bank account. Also the sleepless nights after losing money on blackjack have gone.

A way to go in paying off debts but the end is in sight. it is a great feeling

good stuff jimby, keep it up - happier days lay ahead of you my friend.

coca - some advice, you dont have to take it. get some passport photos of yourself, get down the bookies 1st thing when its quiet and ask them for self exclusion forms. its takes 5 minutes mate. i guarantee that if you are serious about stopping you will feel great after doing it. take away some of your capabilities and the urges will eventually subside. stay strong

    x and wishes to all
  • Jazz King. Don't beat yourself up about not quitting after being a £5 up. Chances are, you would've lost a big chunk on another night instead. At least now you have posted here and been honest with yourself. I hope things are getting better for you. Dan.

Hi DFD, thanks for taking the time to post. You're right, I shouldn't feel too bad and to be honest I'd mostly forgotten about that fact until tonight

It does feel good to not be gambling on an evening; I made it though the weekend without going on my PC and getting on the casinos. I think just knowing that I've put the blocking software on means that I don't feel the need to try and gamble because I know I couldn't get anywhere.

Thankfully I've sorted out the budget so we're OK for money this month and my wife has a new job so after 3 months of her earning too we'll be back being a bit more comfortable again.

Two weeks tomorrow without a bet, lets see if I can make it a month!
  • Well done Jazzking, one day at a time, one step at a time. Stay strong people
