thanks im a little bit nervous but not too much. At least its at my kids' school and i speak to the head quite often so he won't ask (like most people do) so, you are at home with the kids. What do you DO then...?
I've sort of been pushed into this but Im not quite kicking and screaming ;)

I managed to get in touch with a lone parent advisor, they say they hadnt even got me down as a lone parent, despite having DSS benefits dating back a couple of years where i clearly stated my situation.
No interview with the advisor until the 20th Jan.
I dont know whether i should see a disability employment advisor instead because i think the fact i have had a stroke does not do me any favours when i have interviews.

What puts me off is the disability advisor can get you 'guaranteed' interviews, i dont like the idea of getting an opportunity because it HAS to be given to me.

The guaranteed interviews are only with employers who are positive about employing disabled people so don't worry about that.

At the end of the day, an interview gives you the chance to show how good you are! :-*

Your lone parent adviser (LPA) will speak to the DEA (disability employment adviser) and if you need any help from them they will refer you on. It may well be you end up seeing both - not a problem.

My only advice, speaking from experience, is to ensure you keep dealing with the lone parent adviser as a lot of DEAs seem to not know about fast tracking of WTC etc.

Your LPA should have loads of useful info and knowledge about lone parent specific things which other advisers don't always pick up.

    Good luck! :D:D
    Nice to save.

Does anyone know how to find genuine home working opportunities? there are so many scams around - don't want to get ripped off.

I can only work small hours due to childcare and other family responsibilities and heard about peopl ewho work from home doing all sorts - don't know where to start??? any one?
