I'm really happy as my most recent tin got destroyed when I opened it up, but I have just managed to get a new one for free from the app OLIO, so that was a nice little saving.

Hello all! Bad potting week for me this week, only 50p gone in, need to be better at getting cash out instead of using the debit card! Still I suppose 50p is better than nothing, have a good week all :)

I don't expect it will take you too long to save for and buy a new pot, Florence, so keep your eyes out for cash to pot when you're able! PS. I barely get the words down and - look at that post above! Very well done on the free pot Florence!!!!! :j You've saved even more!!

I am pleased you're feeling well again, jakes-mum, no doubt that £45 given to you by your DH was a great tonic!!! :grinheartVery wise to change cash into dollars just to be on the safe side!

A really fair amount to have saved, Chutney! Keep it coming when possible.

I'll bet working yesterday went totally against the grain for you, 32b3! Still if you'll benefit as a result - why not!! :D Good saving and you were right earlier in where was everyone! Thanks so much for filling that last slot so to speak.

A wonderful idea to give your friend a pot to help her realise her dreams, Cazzie, very kind indeed!!!

    Hi all,

A paltry 50p potted recently. However, it's 50p more than nothing, isn't it?!

    x

You bet it is Vicky! :T Don't ever worry about a small amount saved being paltry, it all adds up so don't forget that and just keep on potting away however small or big it is!! Keep an eye on DH mind and be sure that any trail he leads go straight into your pot!!!! :rotfl:

Oooh no wonder you're getting so excited, siju, so would I be if I was headed back to France and all it holds!! :j We've stayed in Brittany and had a brilliant time, but we've never been to The Loire yet but it's certainly one of the places we'd love to explore...next time!! Have a fantastic time with very safe journeys! Great potting!!

Well done with yet another £10 Lynne! A great Friday feeling to get you ready for, and enjoy, the weekend! I do hope you're feeling much better.

Hello again there Fiasco! It's lovely to see you drop in to update us. Well done with banking your cash and for updating your siggy. Enjoy the summer but don't forget to drop by again whenever possible. :D

A whole £20 potted after the shopping was done!

Save as well as you possibly can, MLE007, as you say, 50p is so much better than nothing so keep that in mind!!

I hope you're all having a super weekend, folks. Keep feeding those pots!!! :D

    Sue xx

    Evening all.

Apologies for being quiet over the weekend (or you're welcome for the peace!) I'm afraid I was stuck in the dark pit of doom - I wish it had been the 'work' one rather than the 'depression' one but alas, it was the latter. But today I managed to get to the hospital for some much-needed support and treatment and I am fighting back. I'm also happy to report plenty for the pot today - two fivers, a rare £2 coin, and four shiny new £1s, so a lovely £16 for the pot. And then as a little extra lift, I arrived home to find a pair of brand spanking new headphones that I've obviously won in a competition (did check my bank account to make sure no-one had bought them with my money, as I hadn't had the usual email advising me of a win, but all was well there). Looked them up on Amazon and they retail at £49.99, so was preparing them for auction and then my bro, who reports his pair are on their last legs (or should that be last ears!?), offered me 30 quid for them, and so a deal was done. I was meant to be visiting my friends and my gorgeous Godson-to-be this weekend, and being totes MSE, had pre-booked and pre-paid my train tickets to get the best deal, but sadly I'm not well enough to go away right now and can't get a refund, but that 30 quid has covered the £29.50 cost of that, so I'll pop that to one side for when I'm well enough to go again and hope I can get an equally good deal. Every cloud, eh?

Hope you're all potting well and feeling well. Sending so much love to anyone feeling poorly in any which way, know that you are not alone, and if you're unfortunate enough to be in the same dark pit I'm trying to dig myself out of, we can at least get comfy together, I bought my hug rug so we'll be nice and warm and cosy at least.

And to all those 9-5ers, Monday is over, wahoo! xxx

Ah, Cazzie, much love and thoughts heading in your direction. Thinking of you, but so glad you've got support there for you.

A teensy bit potted today. 20p in total. No coins left by DH. He really is slacking.

My potting might dip even further because... the governors of my school are in agreement to me dropping my hours by a small amount! It's only a temporary measure, and I'm not sure when it will start, but I'll be talking details with the headteacher later in the week. I'm so relieved.

Still soldiering on with my £2s, put 4 in the pot tonight.

It's been a hectic time so I haven't been around much, as we were inspected by Ofsted at work last week. Consequently I'm having a free day off today, which isn't coming out of my flexi or my annual leave, in lieu of having worked a Saturday to prepare. Also got another 16 or so hours' flexi out of it as well but my word I was knackered - talk about post-Ofsted slump on Thursday and Friday! Our manager told us all to finish at 4pm on Friday and we were sustained by sweets, chocolates, nuts, fruit, sandwiches, all mostly paid for by work. We also get to go out for lunch this week, again paid for by work!

So sorry to hear you are having a bad time Cazzie xx The department I work for are putting a lot of focus on our mental health at the moment. Something happened to a colleague a while ago and when I think back I wish I could have done more to help her, so I have been applied and been accepted on a training programme to help me identify actions which I might otherwise think nothing of, and hopefully I will be in a better position if a similar thing happens in the future. Great potting by the way.

    £1.18 potted today

Take care CazzieLT, I am also struggling with my mental health at the moment.

Collected my new tin today :D decided to combine the journey on foot into the town centre with Day 1 of my running training, so got that done at the same time.

    It was raining :(

Oh well, I have my new tin, it's a little smaller than the last one, but I think it will be fine :D
