In Yorkshire 8% of something is better than 100% of nothing

You're not reclaiming anything. You're pushing for compensation.

I would doubt 8% interest would be applied to any compensation, interest is added to compensate for 'lost opportunity' with the money you're reclaiming.

Thank you I cannot think of a better reason to use the information on this site and why this site exists

You're in Yorkshire  - I know we're known as tight but you seriously take this to unreasonable extremes. (And yes before you do your 'cease and desist' mantra it aimed at you personally)

    I am not in Yorkshire

I am so glad you said this.

I'm just checking that the security of my bank accounts is not compromised. Using simple manual check using simple questions. Getting advice from organisations that encourage you to ask for advice is not unreasonable extremes.

If all is OK and correct then there is no problem is there ?
Since I started this thread I have discovered that others including National Media organisations have questioned Santanders methods regarding text messaging.

If Santander have breached the DPA then what does it say about the rest of their business ? If they havent then no problem.

I have not asked for compensation

The Santander Operator took on board the direct debit glitch on a family members account. Excellent

Apparently your woodland character has now been thrown out of a window! This is a most fantastical story: please do tell me more.
