Hi all, 1st time doing this. Please can you put me down for 12k. Thanks
  • Worked on figures today. Would like to aim for £12,000 but I think a more realistic figure would be £10,000 as I have a big holiday this year which I am still saving for. So please put me down for £10,000. Thanks!
  • I've just joined MSE to do this challenge!

Can I be a part of this please? I'm hoping to pay off my credit card debts this year, which are £3000, so could I have this as my goal?

    Thank you

  • Can you sign me up for £8,000 please? I've followed this challenge for quite a while, and I'm now in a position to join. Hooray!
  • I'd like to join again please, this time with a target of £24K

I'm saving for overall financial security and will count:
    - my pension contributions
    - contributions to S&S ISA, but not market fluctuations
    - difference in cash balance compared to previous month (so negative numbers are possible, it's all about the amount I'm contributing to future freedom)

I'm pretty happy with my expense level which has remained fairly consistent over the last 3 years. My main challenge to hit my targetwill therefore be to increase my income.

  • In this again for for the 3rd year at £15k

I find I save so much more more just tracking my spending / saving!
    Save £12k in 2020 = £4,074.62/£15,000 (27.2%) #89
    Save £12k in 2019 = £13,580.52/£15,000 (90.5%) #92
    Save £12k in 2018 = £17,189.12/£15,000 (115%) #36
  • I missed getting an early number, but only because I spent all my 2019 savings on my holiday and haven't been online for most of December! That's what £12k in 2019 successfully did for me. :)

I'm in for £8k, which is one hell of a stretch. :D

    Thanks SF
