Hope you have a great time. I try to use buses as much as I can in London as you get to see more that way. As well as Pret a Manger and Subway (for lunches), I like eating in Garfunkels as they have a good salad bar. There aren't as many branches as there used to be but they still are in central places.


There are ways of having dairy that aren't milk or cheese: yogurt, tinned salmon and sardines, greens like spinach and kale. I like all these so the fact that HEAs are so tiny isn't really a problem.


Hope you have a good evening poohsticks. I've been to these live showings but only opera so far. I'd like to try a play or they also do ballet and art exhibitions. The best are when it's live from New York Metropolitan and everyone takes their dinner in hampers. Great fun and very easy to be SW friendly (except the wine:o).

Hello Maman

I'm alright, same old Frogga.

I'm flapping a little bit Going into hospital tomorrow to have a lumpy bump removed from my abdomen. They don't think it's anything to worry about, just a yucky thing that needs to go away I've been cancelled 3 times due to all the issues over Christmas with the NHS. I had my pre op checks in October. They weighed me and I was 13 1/2 st. She said that was ok but I figured I had a couple of months to lose some more and I'd be in a much better place. But now I'm 16st again

I phoned them in the week as I was terrified that they would say they wouldn't do it anymore. The Nurse was very kind and she said the extra weight 'may cause the op to be more difficult, but that was their problem' and I mustn't worry. But I am really worried. I'm worried that tomorrow when they see the size of my belly they won't have a knife big enough to wade through the Cadbury's Crème Eggs and they'll send me back to the pond.

I've had months to 'fix' myself. Yet her I STILL AM! Arghh I could throttle myself with a skipping rope and smack myself in the face with a wet flannel :mad:

Forget SW and weightloss until you're fully recovered then you can draw a line and start afresh.:)


I'm doing fine, thank you. I'm still at target or thereabouts. Still lurching between my ideal weight and the extra pounds that invariably come my way when we travel or eat out. But that's RL and I enjoy it.:D
