    Official MSE Insert:

Thanks to Grimbal for starting this thread, where compulsive Rightmove browsers share their funniest finds. Scroll down for Playboy mansions, unusual extensions, toilets in wardrobes and mysterious presences under bedcovers.

    Back to the original post...

Thought I'd start off a new thread as the other one was getting to be pretty long. The old thread can be found here.

How about starting up a thread dedicated to the interesting properties that we come across in our searches ?

I'm guessing these guys don't invite their granny over to watch TV

It says it's a one bedroom apartment, but the photos clearly show 2 bedrooms. Floor plan doesn't.

At any rate I agree with you about the aspect of it!

Looking though the window at the apartments opposite - do they have some sort of external shutter system for the large windows?

The taxi drops you off on the main road, and you walk towards the gates. You become aware that they're backing away.

No, come back! you cry. Despite appearances, I'm not going to chop you up and put you in bin bags!

    It's too late. They've gone.

I kind of love that there's a house in York with a palm tree in the garden. That's an awful lot of foliage at the front, though. I wonder if the house is shy?

Ps: I know you mean the one in the back. Frost got ours, it's grim up north.

Mind you, I'm a couple of hours north of York and we currently have a palm tree positioned by the river. Looking a little the worse for wear though, and I think it was only intended to be there for the summer - is in a container.

EDIT: damn ninjas editing while I type.

Maybe I'm too picky, but the dimensions of the main bedroom in this Persimmon new-build are strange - 18' 10" x 5' 9". A standard double bed would have 7.5 inches either side for access. Pics seem to show the room as a single + ensuite "master bedroom"! https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-68126668.html
