    does anyone know if there is a template spreadsheet on here of how to do a full year of budgeting???

    Marc, that is exactly what I mean. It's a numbers game and we each have our own lifestyle that should fit in with what we can afford and what we want to save for in the long run. 4k was based off the 10k income, if you earn 12k then you could, realistically, aim to live on 5k a year. I'm a bit mad (as many will confirm!! LOL) and choose to budget to within a millimetre of my life because I want to buy a house without a mortgage. Simple as that. Having lived on less in the past, I have already proven to myself that it can be done and has no detrimental effect on my health or lifestyle. OK, so I'm not a designer clad socialite but... living on 4k wouldn't stop me if I decided to 'play the game' that I know many do ;)
    I reserve the right not to spend.
    The less I spend, the more I can afford.
