Won a case in 3 weeks? That's certainly incredible.

If so, then another unusual decision from the CEDR. It would be interesting to see all the submissions to CEDR and there statement on decision.
Unless of course, there was another reason and not crew illness.
Airlines don't tell porkies do they?

If you could offer any advise on how you achieved your excellent result inspireme247 it would be greatly appreciated. I also have a claim in the system where I suspect the airline will claim "extraordinary circumstances"

We had a co-pilot go down with food poisoning & the flight was cancelled after boarding & jet bridge withdrawn. Actually flew 23 hours later (same plane).

    Thank you

Due to fly to Tenerife from Manchester today at 1620 hrs now advised it will be 2245hrs which I guess they will claim is caused by weather. 2 or 3 days ago.

What is the position re compensation?

It depends on the reason for the delay. Nobody in here can say what it is based on the info you've provided.

If you look at Manchester Airport T2 Deps for Thomson then flights are leaving as expected...yours is noted for much later. Take a screen shot to show weather is not an issue at Manchester. Such info might be useful for you later

G-TAWF seems to be the problem.

Thank you I have taken a screen shot for all departures this afternoon showing our flight is the only extensive delay.

Is there a common issue with this plane?

G TAWF is a 737 our plane was due to be a 757?

Son flew back last night from Alicante on a replacement (Dreamliner) plane with a 90 min delay.

Expected departure is still 2245 hrs v original 1625 hrs.

Just wondering how long they can claim 'adverse weather' as a get out after the actual event maybe 3 days ago?
