Theatre tickets from 3rd party seller

Theatre tickets from 3rd party seller 3rd Oct 19 at 4:36 PM
I bought a pair of tickets for a theatre show via londontheatredirect.com

All fine, and tickets have arrived. But I have since realised that they put a 25% mark up on the ticket price compared to buying tickets directly!!

Unfortunately I didn't realise this at the time and they have a no refund policy.

Does anyone have any experience with these guys and what I should try?

The show isn't until the end of this month so I have time to get rid of the tickets (either refund or another way!) I've bought and buy new ones directly.

Any help would be much appreciate.

Not sure what you want, you've posted on PVW so your good on warning other people to check prices before you buy.

You're not going to get your money back from the company (unless their T&C's say you can) & as you can buy them cheaper I doubt you will have any luck selling them.

You have tickets to the show you want, go and enjoy the show and be careful in the future.

Not what you want to here, I know

It's very frustrating because I can buy better category tickets for less directly than what I paid via this 3rd party seller!

They should have to at least make customers aware they are selling above face value before purchasing. Nowhere on its website does it say they're selling for above face value.

You have to click on the small "i" icon next to the price to be paid in your basket.

I know that there is a code of practice (I think it's run by star.org.uk but I can't access their website from where I am) for ticket resellers and this has stipulations which cover pricing transparency but whether or not this is a toothless tiger I have no idea.

You were happy to pay for those seats at the price you did - at the end of the day theyíre a business so need to add a mark up.

Just donít use them again and leave a poor review.

The 3rd party seller do try their best to make it look like they are the original/direct seller and make it as difficult as possible for customers to know that they're actually paying above face value for the tickets.

Quick search on the Duck, https://duckduckgo.com/, brings up Her Majesty’s theatre for Phantom. I have to look harder for some reseller shyster.
