  • I agree that although you are doing a great job of clearing your debt managing your budget is even more important. Once all the debt is gone though all that spare £500 will be yours. Which debt are you focusing on once Robinson Way gone? Are you still just paying £10 a month to Lowell?

  • Hi,
Oven just found this thread and wanted to say well done - for accepting and jumping on your LBM, for successful negotiation with the agencies and for sticking to it! You're over half way in a few short months and as each drbt is cleared off it allows more to be paid to the others. You'll be saving up and treating yourself soon enough! Keep going and don't forget where you've been. You don't want to go back

I'm making small additional payments to Lowell on the smaller debt and I'll probably focus on that once Rob Way is done and dusted. The smaller debt is now £366.75 so a couple of months should see it gone.

Definitely do and let me know how you get on. Be persistent and escalate as a complaint if necessary.

My salary just hit my bank account so I've made a £100 payment to Rob Way, that brings out to £225 owed.

My overall debt is now £5222.08. I'm edging slowly but surely to that £5000 figure. Once I'm on the right side of that it'll be a massive boost.

Just updating this for my own reference:

    Lowell £ 829.31 : £ 366.75
    Lowell £1348.19 : £ 787.72
    SLL £ 960.00 : £ 624.00
    ACI £1386.60 : £ 0.00
    Moorcroft £ 690.47 : £ 0.00
    CRS £ 773.12 : £ 541.15
    Moorcroft £ 719.48 : £ 709.48
    Rob Way £2191.00 : £ 199.00
    Barclays £1039.00 : £1039.00
    Cabot £1327.32 : £ 928.98

I've just realised that if I can pay Barclays £40 then none of my debts alone will total over £1000.

I can't say I've heard of them but don't they have to meet UK regulations to operate here?

I've just cleared the Rob Way debt. :):):)

I sat down last night a drew up a budget for March. I had enough left to make the final payment of £150. This time last week it was my single biggest debt and I'm so happy it's gone.

My total debt now stands at £4997.08, under £5000! It's a good day.

I'm moving my focus now to the smaller Lowell debt which is currently £366.75.
