Thank you for your response. You seem to have misconceived my post, (not a problem). I can't disagree with the points you have highlighted. Where we may disagree (and you seem to with some of the application of all this) is how this is actually played in reality.
My experience is gained from this, and arguments presented similar to this to court.
What I can agree is:-
Hopefully that will put this issue to bed.Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

There is nothing wrong with giving advice on how these things tend to play out in practice based on your (limited) experience of such matters. There is, however, something wrong with giving people bad legal advice (such as: the English courts always have jurisdiction over delayed flight claims, regardless of the facts of the case, because of the ESCP).0 -

Sir, if forum contributors were to take your (biased) posts more seriously it may be in your interests, and indeed the interest of other forum members, if you could expand upon your experiences, particularly in respect of 261/2004 and advise, maybe, how many court cases you have faced and indeed your qualifications to comment on same.
I have a great deal of respect for the good Doctor, the Angel and Vauban (apologies if I have missed a regular, positive, contributor) due to their assistance with claimants however I do find your contributions very, to use your words, limited.0 -
Can I throw my tuppence in...... for what it is worth! I don't normally do this but after reading recent posts I felt I had to say something. l haven't a clue with all the legal stuff discussed on here.... jurisdiction this and regulation that. What I do know is that this forum is contributed to by a number of good people who only want to see claimants get what is rightfully theirs. These people give freely of their own time and knowledge to those of us who would just give up as soon as we received that..... "sorry but you are not due any compensation" email from Ryanair as soon as you arrive home. If I had not had such superb direction and advice from this forum.... especially Dr Watson, I wouldn't be where I am now which is clutching a letter from Ryanair's lawyers, saying they are paying out on my claim. If anyone is put off in commencing with their claim by any posts on here, I suggest you ignore them and follow the great advice from these great people.0

My gratitude to Dr Watson, Vauban and the many others for their time, considerable efforts and guidance contributing to this forum and holding Ryanair to account. I was about to instigate the European Small claims procedure and decided to try writing once more with my €1600 claim subsequent to the September judgement. To my utter amazement I received a reply in early October agreeing to meet my claim in full (cheque payment). I wasn't convinced that it would materialise, however, I have received their cheque for the full amount this morning. Thanks again.0

Hello, I have read the thread and started claiming for our delayed flights, but have no answer from Ryanair. I am wondering if it really works through the resolver and are these reply genuine?
I do not want to give up as the experience was very stressful! We were not told why the plain was late, the poor Croatian staff had no idea, no one told them any reason.I had to catch another flight once in London to get to my fathers funeral the next day! so it was, bad.
The flight was on 1.10.2015 and had a 6 hours delay.
Any advise, please,before I escalate it? Should I put some more comments with it? Thank you for your work lovely people.0 -
After Ryanair "reconsidered" their position and agreed to pay compensation to me on 27th October, I have had no response since.
The email stated to enter my bank details in their online complaint tracker, which failed due to invalid flight reservation number as I believe due to the delayed flight being in 2012. I emailed them back via resolver, stating this on the 30th October and 4th November, asking how else can I get my bank details to them for the bank transfer for the compensation. No response.
I tried emailing them online via their contact form, which emailed back asking to email cswebform my bank details. I did this on the 5th November 2015 and still no response.
What else can I do? Am I supposed to start a 3rd Resolver Case?! :mad:.0 -
I emailed the NWNF solrs and the airline have agreed to my claim. So the NWNF solrs are now going through all the claims sent over and then will email me with the amount and their fee etc.. I suppose I won't know yet, when it will be paid out. But at least one step closer than I was.0
