Roast dinner today with lamb, cauli, sprouts, mash and mini Yorkies. :) Yummy. I'll portion up the rest of the lamb tomorrow and I'm expecting to get another two (maybe three) meals out of it.

Have used one of the ys leeks today to make leek & potato soup, enough to do us a couple of lunches. Last week's ys plums have also been despatched - we ate some "as is" and I've chopped/stoned the rest, stewed down with a little bit of water and some brown sugar to make a compote. Not sure yet whether to use it for a crumble or just stir through yogurt. Either way, it will be eaten and enjoyed. :D

I’m having a using up stuff week so I’ve made veggie pizzas from a random box of ys pizza dough I had taking up space, leftover Dominos dips, frozen cheese & odds of veggies that needed using up.

I’ve also made a coconut & veggie soup with whatever was left of my veggies.

Dinners this week are all the leftovers we have in the freezer as I’m trying to empty my freezer.

  • Day five of NSD's for me this month tonight's dinner is a barnsley chop and veg from the freezer and some left over rice pud from the fridge. I am intent on reducing some of the food mountain as my cupboards are far too full and I am quite happy to stay away from the shops. Going to be some ...interesting meals ahead, as I shall be delving into the deep ice of the freezer and hacking out some stuff I have probably forgotten :):) I'm dreaful for labelling stuff :):)

  • Sunday dinner - burgers, mash & baked beans with the addition of lo mash, veg & sausages fried up as an extra for DH & DSis.
Monday dinner - fried bacon, eggs & mushrooms with oven chips + fried lo mash from Sunday for DH & DSis

Every bit of food has come from freezer & food stores. The fridge is quite bare, there is wiggle room in the freezer & there is not a potato in the house :rotfl:

The lamb has made 4 meals for us - hot on Sunday, cold on Monday, some nice slices frozen in gravy for whenever and the rest has been chunked up to make a casserole for tomorrow. Some gravy left over and frozen separately that will do with pies or pasties. Good value joint. :j

I think you mean NOT labelling stuff! :rotfl: I'm getting better at it but I know there is a box of "something" that's not labelled. I think it's a mince-type LO :undecided so it shouldn't be too hard to use up.

Today I've made sc rice pudding (used up some LL milk) and I've also made Yorkshire Parkin (last bit of SR flour and golden syrup used). Just waiting for it to cool fully, then it can be cut and stored. The hardest part now will be letting it mature in the cake tin for a few days. :( Should be worth the wait though! ;)

Fresh milk bought today (used a 25p MOC) and not tempted by anything else. :j

Defrosted a couple of slices of ham which I will have with two poached eggs and some mushrooms tonight for a meal ,not really very hungry so a light meal will suit me down to the ground :)

Last of the roast chicken which hadn't been frozen, with HM chips, baked beans, HM coleslaw & various pickles. Something which we both enjoyed as not something we have that often.

  • JackieO, well done on the NSDs :T

Yesterday I made Ha*ry B*kers Somerset Chicken with boiled potatoes & green beans. My DSis absolutely adores it - the noises she makes whilst eating have to be heard to be believed :rotfl:

I made a double portion - as it is a time consuming dish to prep & make - now boxed & in the freezer :T

As I boiled all the potatoes I had, I will be making a potato based soup tomorrow - I feel an experiment coming on :rotfl: & as DH is escorting DSis to France I am on my todd - so will make to suit my palate :T Have a tomato, a few mushrooms, a few cabbage leaves & some cooked green beans to use up as well.
