Can you challenge the price you Pay for water?

The reason I ask is because I seem to be paying an extra £10 a month to what everyone else pays in the street, to the side of me and in front. I have checked with around 20 huses around me.

I spoke to Welsh water who said 'we do not set the rateable values' Who can I contact to challenge this?

The answer is no - the water rate values were set many years ago and there's no mechanism to get them changed. They do not relate you your council tax either.
If you want to pay less for water then you should consider getting a water meter - you'll then have control over what you pay as you can control what you use.

Also, if you ask for a water meter and they can't fit one then you can ask to go on to their assessed charge which may be less than you are paying now.
