Paid student loan due to work error

I don't normally pay off my student loan as my salary is under the threshold. However, due to processing errors at work, I received a lump sum in one wage slip, an accumulation of a year's worth of underpayment. This meant that I went over the threshold and therefore £372 went straight to student loans.
It doesn't seem fair, if work had paid me the right amounts throughout the year I wouldn't have had to pay student loans anything. Is there anything I can do about this?

If the extra payment puts your annual salary amount over the threshold for payment then you cannot claim it back.
If you year's earnings are less than the repayment threshold you can reclaim it.
Any claim can only be made after the end of the tax year in which the extra payment is made.
