I bought the same for my iPad a couple of years ago, cost £40.80 then but see its gone up to just over £42. I only bought it to use in an emergency as using cellular for streaming rather than wifi will use up your data in no time. It lasts for up to 2 years from the date you first use it, there is a cheaper 12 month option also available.

Yes, most of the time it’s using WiFi. I think it’s the grandkids who use the data.

No, I mean a sim for my iPad.
Is it just a sim with no minutes or texts?

It's called a data SIM. But does your iPad have cellular connectivity (i.e. a SIM card slot)? The majority are wifi only.
Unless used mainly on wifi, 20GB won't last 2 years.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The two years is the life of the sim, not a problem if like me you only use it if your home wifi goes down but certainly not for anything other than emails or ordering on line.

Yes lol, I’m not totally stupid :-)
    I’m leaving O2 for a better deal.
It is used mainly on WiFi.

That’s why I think it would suit me.
99% of the time I’m using WiFi, it’s just nice to have another option if I take it out.

Mind you, I’ve just bought the XR and changed my phone plan, I’ve not got 8gb and it’s sky, so unused data rolls over.

I’m pretty sure I can share my phone data with my iPad, so I may just do that. I’ll never use 8gb! But it was cheaper than 4gb....
