Switching Feed In Tariff Provider

Options
Our FIT payments are claimed via SSE since we had them installed in 2012. The payments take many weeks to arrive and the detail/paperwork and ease of contact is unreasonable and less than we enjoy from our current energy provider AVRO.

I'd like to switch FIT payment provider to a better company, does anyone have any recommendations? (of where to switch and how)

Thank you

You will probably have to move your energy supplier to one that offers FiTs to be able to switch.

I have a long standing problem with SSE over my FiTs payments and am not able to switch even if I'd like to(long...long...story) but even I get paid within a couple of weeks.......are you that desperate for the payments?

Glad we've been looking after you mickyduck. I'm not aware of any difficulties or delays with FIT payments so you should be receiving this as in the past. As you're probably aware, all things FIT are looked after by a specialist part of the company. If your payment doesn't come through in a timely manner, they'll be happy to help. Contact details are on our paperwork and website.

As I say, though, I don't know of any problems.

I bought a house with solar panels last year. It took quite a while to get SSE to transfer the FIT to my name, but once they'd finally done it I haven't had any further problems.

I submitted this quarter's reading online on 6th April, and the money was in my bank account by 17th April.

We are with EDF for FIT payments. They are very helpful & prompt with making the payments.

Usually, we get the payment straight into our bank account within a week of submitting the reading.

They also will pay an interim payment if your quarterly reading does not tie in with the change of FIT rates on 1st April. Submit a reading on 31st March/1st April and they don't have to estimate what the reading would have been.
