    Yay! Everything's coming up Lambyr!

So E's got a week off end of the month and she had mooted spending it here (though I'm pretty sure that was just to get away from her mum's bf). Just learned that extended family have a Christening they'd like mum to go to and it's during the week E's got off work... so using my wonderful powers of persuasiveness, I've convinced a relative to take mum for the whole time E's off work!

Now we can have the house to ourselves! :D:D:D

Is it sad this is the most exciting thing that's happened to me in forever?

Lambyr, is there any possibility at all that you and
E could go somewhere for a few days?

I know money is tight, but this may be the only chance you get for ages.
Even if it's only a little B&B in an interesting English town? And it's off-season too!

    Or even something like this........

(2 nights in Barcelona for £157 each, hotel + flights. Lots of other destinations and other dates).

Hahahahahahahahahah! I read your post as if it were your mum sitting at the window waiting for you to come back! Hahahahahahahahahah!

Treats I understood, but the chews got me a bit puzzled!

    Opal Fruits?

(No! They are NOT Starburst, and never will be! )

Luckily I had twigged by the time I got to the "headbutted in the bajingo"! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Maybe she does? I have no idea what mum gets up to when I'm out. It might be like that bloke out of Little Britain in his wheelchair!

I think dog-sitting for 3 days might be a bit of an ask!

Just need to think of things we can do... last time mum was away for a week I spent the week playing video games and watching X-Men films. Probably gonna have to be a bit more interesting this time!

    Alton Towers?

If you swap the video games for more film watching, that sounds like a fabulous way to spend a week.

I'm not sure where you live but there are loads of places that are lovely for day visits. Take it in turns to pick a town/city/village that you've never been to and head off for the day with no real plan other than to have a wander round.

Ooh I love a pootle around a town for a day. Wander around, find a nice park, maybe look in a church or gallery, have lunch, have afternoon tea (the walking makes me thirsty :D) I usually manage to find a second hand bookshop too.
