Hi guys I’m new here! Can anyone help! After being on pip for 3 years it was refused after a f2f assessment iv appealed against their decision in nov 2017, I’m still awaiting a court date, I rang the courts to be told it around 63 weeks in north wales I’m at my wits end! I have adhd and medicated along with anxiety depression and rls is this right to be waiting this long??

The waiting times vary around the country but have been getting longer and longer because the demand is greater than the tribunal service can handle.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

Unfortunately the Tribunal Service (TS) has a large backlog of appeals.
On a more positive note, about 70% of PIP appeals are successful.

You could highlight the 63 week wait to your MP, and suggest that the DWP improve their MR process and don't fail over 80% of requests.
In the meantime, you could ensure you are fully prepared for your tribunal and have submitted medical evidence to the TS.

What you should bear in mind is that a Tribunal is a court and runs on court rules. This means that they will decide on the evidence in front of them on the day. So best to have a list of what you want to say and to make sure you have sent the evidence to support that list to the Tribunal 10 days before. Gives the Tribunal a chance to familiarise themselves with the issues before you actually see them.
Take someone with you if you feel it helps even if it is just for them to produce the correct piece of paperwork when you need it. Saves getting flustered.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.
