Can I return opened amazon echo spot?

Not sure if this is the right section for this question but anyways...

I received an amazon echo spot as a present and am looking to return it to amazon for a refund (not faulty, just not needed). We still have the receipt but I’ve opened it and tried it out for 10 minutes. Will they still accept this back?

You can always ask them but they are not obliged to. If returning anything normally the question is; are you returning this in a state you'd like to receive if you were buying it yourself at the same price as all the other (new) versions? If not that answers your question.
It's always worth asking though.
