Has the council taken any action to enforce payment? If so what?

Mistake ?, in what way ?
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

If any previous issues have been resolved ( as far as is possible) and the only issue rests on the sale of the house then this can proceed unless a charging order has been granted, in that case the issue will need looked at further. Nothing else council tax related would impact on the sale.

Has that all been resolved as far as possible ? - was it down to a discount/exemption not be awarded ?
