Even Windows 10 has an end date of 14 October 2025. :)

Microsoft has to keep the money rolling in somehow.

it is like ALL software. they all have an EOL, which does not mean you cant still use it, just that it is no longer supported by the software house, so you get no more security patches or updates.

It is just like the vehicle you are driving as it will have an EOL ( the point there the manufacturer stops producing parts for it), you can still use the vehicle just it becomes harder to find parts, so 9/10 you get rid and replace it with a newer model

If they didn't come up with new versions we'd all still be using Windows 3.11 or something.
They have said that Windows 10 is "The last version of Windows" but what that actually means is anyone's guess. Looks like something will change by Oct 2025 whatever.
One thing I won't be having is a subscription to use an OS. Whatever they call it.
It'll be Linux for me if they go down that path.
