Ha ha! Each month as the interest goes down I change down all the future interest payments on my trusty spreadsheet (do other people do this, I wonder?!), so hopefully it will not be £4 owing at the end.0

In fact, the spreadsheet exists for 2018 as well, which shows just how much I will be able to save. The thought of impending redundancy / retirement will spur me on, as by the end of 2017 I will be able to really save in earnest (there should be a building society called Earnest!).0
