Banks

My 18 months with my free banking is almost over.

How easy is it to move banks for just the free banking?
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

I understand it's not as easy with a business bank account - the switching service may be available, BUT not all banks which offer an initial free banking period will accept a going concern. They only want to offer the free banking to new businesses.

So it may be time to bite the bullet and work out who's going to give you the services you need at the best price. You've got 18 months' worth of transactions so you know whether you need cash facilities - that limits you to banks you can get to. Do you write or receive cheques? What are the charges for handling them, and can you bring the costs of banking them down by NOT depositing them singly as you receive them? Online transactions in and out - what are the charges? And so on.

Its more difficult than a normal account however it is still simply enough

The issue you will have is that you would have to keep switching when using free accounts as they tend to run out on the deals
