Excluding your home or any student loans, how much savings (or debt) do you have? To answer the question, you first need to do a little sum:
1. Add up: the total value of your assets such as your savings & pension (excluding your home).
2. Subtract: outstanding debts - exclude student loans & mortgage (if you have a second property or buy-to-let include that in the sums though).
Then whether you've "net worth" or "net debt", pick your relevant option:

In the absence of any other guidance I assumed each £ of pension was worth £12 cash which is what my pension scheme did when I retired.0 -
