At the moment the SAR fee is £10, but come 25th May 2018 it will be free.

That's interesting. I can think of a few companies we (and I personally) might like to put to that task.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Credit card charges have only just been banned, it’s unrealistic that the millions of signs across the country are going to be updated/edited (usually with black tape!), the instant the law is changed!

Don’t expose yourself as lacking any realism.
They replaced all the signs in Jan 2018, due to them all being vandalised over Christmas, so Would have thought they would have updated them then, But no they did not, but totally understand your point.

You can also complain ton Trading Standards.
This is what I got back from Trading Standards

Parking Control Management, PO Box 1161, Slough, SL2 5PJ
We have received details of the complaint you made to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service. I am sorry to learn of the problems you have experienced. I understand that the Citizens Advice Consumer Service have advised you on how to pursue this matter.
Due to the large number of enquiries that we receive every year, we are unable to investigate each one. However, we do value the information given to us and use it as part of our intelligence. This enables us to build a profile on trading in the borough and the trading practices that are affecting our community. We then use this information to plan and target our work, thus using our limited resources more efficiently.
The details that you have reported will be considered when planning future enforcement activity and if further information is required, a member of Trading Standards staff will contact you directly.
Thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.

CACS are useless. Complain directly and specifically in writing to TS, copied to your MP.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

If you had a shop and TS suspected you were
selling illegal booze, you would be raided.

TS seem to be very scared to investigate this scam
and one must wonder how far up in the chain they
    are given instructions not to.

Yes TS are cash strapped and it seems they only
want to investigate those they choose to ?

Your MP should investigate this and you should
make it very clear to him/her your thoughts

They do not chop off people's heads nowadays

That will not cut it, you will get another brush off.

Complain robustly and specifically about the PPC in writing, (pen, paper, stamp) to TS copying to your MP.
