Do you Compers ever tick the "Don't contact me box" after you tick the mandatory "Comp T&Cs" box? I feel like if I don't tick both then they might check to see if I'm subscribed to their newsletter (or whatever it may be) and redraw the winner if I ever do win (lol)

Luckily I have made a comping email address so it's no big difference to me, but I would still like to manage the amount of spam I get to this account when sifting through 'have you won?' etc emails..

I ALWAYS indicate a big fat 'no' to both of those, unless it is something that I'd really like to hear more about or a comp you enter by signing up for their newsletter.

It should make no difference to whether you are included in the comp or not, although some smaller companies may break the rules. I have to say I’ve been really lucky with wins & it seems to have made no difference whatsoever to my chances by always opting out where I can. It just means that I end up with less spam & on less junk mail lists.

Wet and miserable here as forecast. It is a shame as DS3's gf arrived late yesterday afternoon after a beautiful day here and going tomorrow so won't get a chance to see our town which is quite pretty with castle, harbour and marina as well as river walks.

Thanks re DS3 and Austria. I have never been there myself. They are going to St Anton near Innsbrook. Sounds like you have been busy with the family again leanfun.

Mine is getting slightly better every day but so slowly! Getting fed up of it now after 2 wks. Well done on Wilbur!

DS3 making steaks in pepper sauce tonght I think which will be nice although we can make them ourselves. Really prefer it when he makes something we can't do ourselves but think he fancies steaks!

It’s very dark here today and raining. I’m resting between ironing and comps now.

Well done on Wilbur Indie. You started that cough ages ago. There seem to have been some terrible viruses about. Hope Doctor has been able to help. Great you have car fixed.

Sheils pleased you are a bit better. Shame DS’s GF missed seeing your town. We have never stayed in Innsbruck but have flown there and spent days there. Flying in once with DD2 and DS we were all in different seats. DD2 frightened the people next to her by describing how you fly into Innsbrook between hills or small mountains on either side. One Summer DH and I were not staying too far away and had a car we went to watch DH’s team playing a German team. The Germans let off enormous fireworks in the stadium during the match and there were planes flying low not a good experience.
Innsbruck had the winter Olympic Games years ago and I think there is a big sports centre there. Have to say we met a lot of Scottish people also on holiday in Austria. Sounds like a good adventure.

Firefly was pleased to see you had a win over in I Won, well done. Take care.

Forgot to say DH did some research online and yesterday afternoon we went to a small local independent electrical store and bought a new oven. If it comes early enough they will install on Thursday oh not Friday. I’m really pleased as I the last one was a nightmare. We bought it when we had the kitchen done and didn’t look into it enough. So hope New one will be better.

Cold windy day here but did get all the washing dry! Not doing any more until we come back from our trip. Really looking forward to just getting away and relaxing (especially in hot tub!) Not meaning to do that much apart from a trip to Scarborough. Not going until Monday though which will confuse me as usually get away on a Sunday.
Nominated DD for a prize on FB site and she has been picked so some sort of hamper will be arriving for her. Trying to keep it as a surprise, just hope it doesn't arrive while we are away.

Great the oven change over was efficient leanfun.

Glad the antibiotics are helping you indie. My mum was moaning at me for not going to Dr. She has had 2 lots and think dad has too.
