When the "big chain" was charging €3 for a 250ml beer poolside, I think they can stand the loss. Typical prices in local area were €2.5 - €3.5 per 500ml.

Pretty anonymous on here, so no qualms about posting.
I'd guess that a few people reading this will look closely at their rooms before paying.
I'd decide if I wanted/needed A/C and would pay for it if I did.

Personally, when I check into a room on holiday, the last thing on my mind is 'mooching about looking at circuit breakers'.

Consumer unit was in plain view, at eye level next to the bathroom light switch, so I wasn't looking for it, couldn't miss it.

In your own words.. you were 'mooching about'.
Personally, I'd be checking out the view from the balcony...but each to their own...
Or you could have helped your OH unpack...

In my book, mooching about would include checking the view, and it did.
Easier to let her unpack, she likes to put things in particular places, helping would hinder her.

You're doing your best to show how "holier than thou" you are. I don't believe a word of it.

I think you've done your best to show how 'unholier than thou' you are.

did feel guilty though, but they should lock the cabinets.
Did re-trip them as we left.

Something that would probably be illegal as access to the breakers may be needed in the event of an emergency.

And obviously fairly shameless about what you've got away with. You seem to feel good about it. I happen to disagree. Fortunately we're all different.
  • Similarly - you can get ‘free’ beer if you go behind the bar and steal it, or ‘free’ towels if you happen upon an unattended cleaning lady’s cart....
