Going to France to buy Chilean wine is globalisation gone wrong.
However, going to France to buy Canadian whiskey is a very good idea!

Scotch whisky is typically cheaper in France than here (well, it was when the pound was a bit stronger against the Euro, anyway).
France has much lower duties on alcohol than the UK, so all alcohol tends to be cheaper. Other items may not be so different, and of course some things are more expensive there.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon

Oh, you were just referring to wine.
I must just say I don't reckon on that tasting good, and there isn't a Netto in Calais.
Mostly it's crazy going to La Belle France and taking back italian wine.0
