Replacement For Microsoft Money

Hi, I know this has been asked before, but I have searched this site but can't find the replies. Obviously what I am looking for is a standalone easy to use free program/app like Microsoft Money that will operate on Windows 10. I have found some free alternatives online, but I just wanted the clever people from this site to give me some help which one would be the easiest to use. Thanks in advance

Money is currently free and works on Windows 10

That's useful. Is it easy to transfer data? I've got records on MS Money 2004 going back to 1999 that I dont want to lose.

I think files that work in Money 2004 will operate quite happily in the final version of MS Money.

There was the need to convert MS Money files from an old version to a later version but as far as I am aware 2004 /2005 was the last version produced.

Easiest thing to do is to simply make a copy of one of your MS Money 2004 files and try to open it in the latest version.

To add to what Cloud Dog has written, IIRC to move a file from 2004 to 2005 or higher, where available, you need to make sure that you're using the same country editions i.e., UK to UK, US to US etc. I think the final 'sunset' version is either the US or International version so it might not work if yours is something else.

There was a website with all of the various editions but if you're looking for the 2005 UK version - QFE2 should mean it is the patched version - a quick Google found this page:

And if you want to be able to import share prices into MSMoney easily to update a portfolio have a look at https://www.gaiersoftware.com as the guy that runs that site has created an automated way of doing this as a replacement to the function that no longer works in the program.

I need to get a new laptop and I cannot find my microsoft money sunset uk patch files and the links no longer work.
Two questions:
Does anyone have the uk patch download for sunset?
What is the difference between the uk sunset and Money 2005 ?
