Response from a PPI check

Capital One have responded to a PPI check saying that they can find no payment protection insurance on our credit cards. The information supplied was quite detailed. Can we assume that this will be correct? Is it more than their professional reputation is worth not to be honest about this?

Yes, it means that cannot find any record of you having PPI.

You can provide your own evidence if you feel it is sufficient for them to investigate.

Unless you have anything to say otherwise, then yes.

Its not about reputation. a) it would be fraud to lie. b) the FCA have fined companies that have been difficult tens of millions of pounds. Can you imagine what their fine would be fraud?

How do you propose finding out otherwise?
Remember it's not a crime to have simply had insurance, so even if you had PPI there is no guarantee it would be refunded.
