Yes, because you'd then qualify under condition 1(b). Just be mindful of the 16/3 cut-off for completion.

Thanks, for the reply, I appreciate it. Think i will get the process started in opening the account.

You can choose a switch date (well into the future) at the end of the application. Works great for me because my last bite of the FlexDirect 5% interest ends in Mid-February, so that's the one that's going. Still a 'main' Nationwide account holder via their FlexAccount and appropriate funding.

Been a long time since I've had an incentive, so this one is welcome!

I did have a bank account with them and closed it in 1976 so hopefully this will not barr me.
The offer says that it is open to new and existing customers so previous customers should not have a problem.
  • Perfect. Will be signing up for this as soon as my £250 has been paid in.
  • Account opened. Switch applied for.
  • Account opened. Switch applied for. Guess £1,500 pay in is just payment in and can then be transferred out??
    Debt Free Date - 1 May 2021
  • Account opened for my mum. Switch applied for from Nationwide.

I will switch my B current account to my existing Reward account once the £250 has been paid in.

For an incentive? Or to save yourself the hassle of closing it yourself?

Bah! Me and the missus have JUST opened a joint account with NatWest. Luckily I see NW let you switch for existing customers also.

But I can't find the full T&Cs for the offer... Could the wife setup her own sole account, and switch also for the £125 in addition?

E.g. I switch my 'dummy' bank to the joint NatWest account we have just setup. Wife setups her own sole account and switches her 'dummy' bank account also? I know normally joint account eligible for 1 cash, but if the wife setup her own as well? Or does the joint switch void this so can only have 1x £125?
