Do you have a PrtSc (Print Screen) button? Press it to copy the whole screen (or screens if you have multiple monitors), open Paint and press Ctrl + V to paste it in. Save the file. Pres Alt + PrtSc to take a screenshot of only the highlighted aplication.

Or use the Snipping Tool as mentioned above.

Edit: Sorry - missed the Mac User comment at the end of the OP.

Then we could disband the forum, as no one could ask a question that didn't have an answer in this Googol.......Great idea...

Or give an answer to the question and so come up in the list of helpful results for people to find on Googol.

I'd use the 'Print Screen' key way as suggested by DoaM.
Error! - Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue.

Just re-read the title and OP content to realise that your assessment is correct, and my edit was irrelevant.

Here is a simple tip to take a screenshot without a third party tool.

    1. Press the Print Screen key to capture the entire screen or press Alt+Print Screen to only capture the
    active window.
    2. Open up Paint by going to Start->All Programs->Accessories->Paint and go to Edit->Paste or simply
    press Ctrl+V.

Here are a few examples of using tools.

In case you haven't seen it a really great free screen cap tool.

I love Lightshot It’s on Windows and Mac.

If you face problems here's a guideline on how to take a screenshot.
