Santander monthly fees

Has anyone reclaimed Santander 123 acoustic
Monthly fees .They used to be £2 a month then went up to £5 a month in 2016,just when interest charges were very low
All I can find it compensation for packaged accounts or compensation for financial
hardship

Thanks

I can't think of any reason why anyone would have even tried to reclaim these fees, never mind succeeded!

In order to clamber onto the bandwagon of reclaiming for packaged accounts it's been necessary to demonstrate mis-selling rather than highlighting any real or perceived sense of a lack of value for money, so, having established the principle of a monthly fee for a 1-2-3 account when it was introduced, there's no reason that an increase in that fee would justify any expectation of a reclaim. The monthly fee is nothing to do with interest rates and it's not a packaged account....

If you have/had one of these accounts but didn't like the increase in monthly fee, why wouldn't you have moved, either to a free Santander account or one of their competitors?

Not heard of the "123 acoustic" but thought the 123 accounts paid cashback which more than covered any charges.

Suppose if you repaid the cashback, they might refund the charges, you'd have to ask them.

Worst bank in history! Thanks for the unhappy memories.

And to the OP - stop being silly.
