A busy and not too spendy weekend. Did buy two extra tickets to see a second performance of DS4s theatre performance, but that was money very well spent. Was a very proud mum :) Busy week ahead with the dreaded A Level results on Thursday! This will decide whether DS3 is off to university. He has worked so hard so I really hope he gets the result he is hoping for. Supporting three DSs at Uni is going to be a little bit  though. Still busy with jobs in the house. Seem to have the list in place but missing a little bit of mojo :rotfl: I hope I find it lurking sometime soon or I will be back to work without crossing anything off. Have a good Monday.

3 at Uni at the same time!:eek::eek: - bad planning on your part there, chumpy!:p;):rotfl:

We should have our eldest going off in Sept (will know where after Thurs), followed by no 2 in 2 years time. It all seems so much more stressful for them now than when I went :(

Haha Greent yes we had 3 in 3 years so lots of fun and games in our house (followed by a sneaky surprise visit from the stork 6 years later just as we had sold all the baby gear :rotfl:). We are very lucky though, they are all gorgeous (although I may just be a little tad biased!), Good luck Thursday, will be thinking of you.

SJ - it might not only be 9 years. DS1 is just about to start Year 5

Very spendy day today as school uniform shopping  DS4 starts senior school so £120 on compulsory items. SJ - if you are reading this, remember once they get to "big school" and "need" the school logo items, you can no longer access bargainous Al*i for uniform (just saying ....:rotfl:) Luckily I had set some money aside for this day, but it was still painful. However, so much easier taking just one DS than a few years ago when I would have all 3 at a time and used to need a lie down in a darkened room with a cold flannel by the time I got everyone sorted. Especially if it involved Spo*ts Dir**t - the most loathsome shop in the whole universe :rotfl: Not great news on the Santandy 123 either :( will need to have a rethink as to whether it's still worth it.

A happy household here as DS3 got into his first choice Uni :T Had a celebration meal out last night which was lovely. Phew what a relief. So happy for him but will miss him loads. It will be a very quiet place here in September. Feeling a little sorry for DS4 as he will be "home alone" without his big bros! I am sure he will survive though, as he is already discussing rearranging bedrooms :rotfl: Seems to have been a very spendy few days, need to reign things in a little. However the holidays seem to be flying by this summer. Off to visit rellies tomorrow, so filled up with diesel and ready for an early start. Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I know what you mean Money for Dreams, DS looked at the facebook group for the accommodation at his Uni and said "they all look grown up":rotfl: Some emotional days ahead.

I have just received an invitation from ShopandScan. Has anyone any experience of this? Is it worth pursuing. Seems like of way of extra savings for Christmas?

Was hoping to make another small OP at the end of the month, but there seem to be far too may days left in this month, and they seem to be ganging up on the amount left in the bank account !!

Well the summer is whizzing along, I can't believe I will be back at work next week. DH has just returned to work this week following his health scare on our return from summer holiday. Such a relief that little episode is over. Still hopeful of making another small OP at the end of the month - will keep monitoring and see what happens. Trying for NSDs but it is tricky with the DSs home and eating everything in sight! Need to withdraw the remaining money from the travelcard. I have converted from euros to £s but it won't let me take the money out at a UK cash point for some reason. Will have to pop to travel agent. Need that money to clear my CC

Have been prompted by my work colleagues to apply for a FT post that has become available. It would be a mahoosive step up for me and I am not sure I have the either the confidence or the experience. It would take me from a 0.5 lecturing post to full-time with some management type responsibilities (alongside a big teaching commitment) . It would also be a permanent position with a much higher salary band than I am on at present (currently a fixed term contract which is renewed annually). However, I am wondering if the hassle of the post will be worth the extra money (Particularly after reading SSS's diary ). I am considering applying just to see what happens but I am very unsure atm. Advice anyone? It would of course allow some mega OPs :rotfl: but I may value my sanity more!
