My partner has an old pay as you go Samsung mobile phone which he uses for texting. He bought the phone in 2004 or 2005. He also has some photos on the phone which he would like to download on to a computer. I looked on the Samsung web site but all the downloads to enable him to do this are for phones of a more recent date than his. Is there any way he can get the photos on to a computer?

I use an old Samsung phone and move photos to a pc via bluetooth. I'm assuming your phone has bluetooth if it has a camera. From memory to connect with a cable requires Samsung Kies software which was large and intrusive.
Bluetooth is much easier for a few photos.
Use a bluetooth usb adaptor if your pc doesn't have one.

The phone does not have Bluetooth. We have tried the usb cable which came with the phone, and other usb cables don't fit the phone even with an adaptor.0

If your phone has an email app you could send the photos one at a time by emailing each one to yourself as an attachment. Tedious I know but it may be your only option if there's no micro SD card or file transfer software.0
