Petition Ban vaping in public places
Not enough is known about vaping and its long-term health effects. The Government shouldn’t allow vaping in public places such as public transport. Let’s protect our children and treat it as a potential health problem of the future.

E-cigarette users could be putting themselves at risk of lung disease as a new study shows how the liquids they use hamstring the immune system’s ability to clear the lungs and prevent harmful chemical buildups.
A study by Birmingham University researchers found the nicotine infused liquids used in e-cigarettes become much more potent cell killers when vaporised.

As the majority of research on e-cigarette safety has looked at the chemicals in fluids before they’re evaporated by heat, this could potentially have led the risks to be underestimated.

    the petition was taken down!! the government wants the taxes off vaping. lol!

    some more things the govt wants to do:

    Other regulatory overhauls the committee is telling the government should implement include:
    • Removing upper limits on the nicotine strength of vape fluids, as these dissuade heavy smokers, who stand to benefit most from switching, as it is hard to get the same hit from each puff;
    • Making it easier to license e-cigarettes as medical products so more people see them as quitting aids;
    • Relaxing strict advertising rules to allow health benefits relative to smoking to be promoted;
    • Ensuring taxation continues to reflect relative risks, with e-cigarettes being the cheapest products, conventional tobacco products the most expensive. It adds “heat not burn” products, heavily marketed by tobacco companies, should “fall somewhere in between”.
