Voluntary Redundancy from local govt question

It appears I will be offered the opportunity of v r and have the possibility of starting a new job immediately with a private company

I understand I cannot work for a body on the modifications list but does this preclude me from working for a private company bidding for council work ?

I suppose this is like having your cake and eat it but want to know the answer before starting any process but don’t want to ask my HR as it could influence their decision to offer me anyth8ng ?
