Just as you can never have too many books you can never have too many bookcases ;)

Think I will need to get another bookcase myself... local charity shops have been turning up some volumes that I have been looking for lately and at this rate I shall be needing it real soon :D

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

There's a quotation somewhere about raising a family whose idea of decorating is to add another bookshelf. That's my ideal! :D

US, have you been to Oxfam's online shop? They have loads of books including unusual ones. I think they put the best from all their charity shops online so they'll reach a wider market.

He's never had a spray tan before MTG. Another smile is he said to me it's alright for you you're half Indian - I'm not, I just have light olive skin inherited from my dad who looked Italian but wasn't :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Mr SA is amazing :D.

The bookcase sounds like a good buy.

Today started as it meant to go on with the dog being sick twice (luckily not much) and Mr SA dropping his tablets on the bedroom floor - I had to retrieve them from under the bed.

Later on this morning Mr SA rang to say he'd had a fall on the park and someone had to help him back on his scooter.

Then got a phone call from the floor place to say the fitters wouldn't be able to fit the flooring without boarding out the floor first as removing the old floor had revealed floorboards in a bad state. I wasn't surprised to be honest. Anyway this will add £260 to the cost, although it still comes out cheaper than I was expecting.

After doing some calculations, what with the overspend on the cc, buying the bookcase and the extra floor expense I'm going to struggle to pay off the cc at the end of the month. I've kept my old Barclaycard account open, although not used it in a while and they keep sending me 0% offers. So I've decided to do a balance transfer to cover it all and pay it off when the pension money comes through. I could take it out of savings but don't want to leave myself without a safety net. Will mull it over for tonight but think it's the best option. Then I really must get a grip on myself and stick to a budget!

Went to the gym at lunchtime plus today is AFD 3 of April.

  • As long as it's paid off soon it won't hurt and will save you paying interest. It'll be lovely to have the floor done :).

Hope Mr SA is okay after his fall.

It's all been accepted Beanie but suspect it may be later in the year as the closing date to make your mind up was May. It annoys me because if it was me owing them money they'd want it straightaway. The 0% interest would be until April 2019 so surely it will be through by then, in the meantime I could chip away at it.
