Whats the difference?

When a recipe says use oats does it matter what oats you use ie rolled oats? as you can get a massive bag for 39p but I dont understand what the difference is supposed to be

I think it is about texture. Rolled oats or value oats will give less texture than, say jumbo oats, which are bigger. The taste will be the same though.

Try whizzing cheap oats in the food processor if you need them fine textured eg for coating fish - works well
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
